26. What else does Christ’s death redeem?

Episode Summary

Welcome back and thanks for joining us! We continue our sermon series "What We Believe" based on the New City Catechism. When you look at the brokenness around you, do you ever wonder whether Christ’s death reaches beyond your personal salvation? And what if the cross is not only about redeeming sinners, but about restoring every part of God’s fallen creation? We'll explore these questions in today's sermon brought by our Lead Pastor Stefan Bomberger.

Questions 26 of the New City Catechism

Q. What else does Christ’s death redeem?

A: Christ's death is the beginning of the redemption and renewal of every part of fallen creation, as he powerfully directs all things for his own glory and creation's good (WCF 8.8; WCF 33.1; WLC 54; WSC 28; WSC 38).
