WESTMINSTER (SEE CHAPTERS 32-33) Q. What Happens After Death? A. At death, those united to Christ enter Heaven while their bodies rest as in a bed; but the wicked enter Hell while their bodies are held as in a prison. At the resurrection, the redeemed will be made perfectly whole to enjoy God forever, while the lost will be cast out from His presence into eternal exile (WCF 32.1; 33.1–2; WLC 86; 89; 90; WSC 37; 38).
